Backup and disaster recovery, with tests someone actually runs
Daily backups in the Sevways cloud, a replica of critical systems in another data centre and recovery tests with a report. When something needs restoring, the team that knows the ERP handles it.
- retention for daily backups of the servers we operate
- 30 dias
- data centres with redundant fibre links
- Lisboa e Porto
- for every recovery test
- Com relatório
- 01
Tested backups
We restore data on purpose, to know that restoring works.
- 02
Another data centre
Critical systems are replicated away from the original site.
- 03
Encrypted data
In transit and at rest, in data centres in Portugal.
In summary
- What it is
- Backups and disaster recovery for servers and ERP systems on the Sevways cloud.
- Retention
- 30 days for daily backups; long-term archiving when the law or the business requires it.
- Disaster recovery
- Replica of critical systems in another data centre.
- Who does it
- Sevways runs the backups, tests and restores.
Who it is for
Backups nobody has tested
An external drive or a scheduled task that runs every night, without anyone ever having restored a file.
Operations that cannot stop
Ports, warehouses and factories where one day without the ERP costs more than a year of disaster recovery.
Requests from auditors and clients
Audits, insurers and clients covered by NIS2 asking for proof of backups and restore tests.
Ransomware
Companies that want a copy outside the company network, which an attack on local machines cannot encrypt.
Three layers
Each layer covers a different failure: a deleted file, a lost server or an unavailable data centre.

What we do
Backups
Daily, with alerts when a backup fails and a check the next day.
Disaster recovery
Replica of critical servers in another data centre and a written start-up plan, with the order of systems and who decides.
Recovery tests
Periodic restores in a separate environment, with a report of what was restored and how long it took.
Long-term archive
Retention for years for tax documents, contracts and data the law requires you to keep.
Restore on request
A file, a database or an entire server, requested through support.
How to buy
How to buy
On the servers we host, daily backups are already included. Replication in another data centre, long-term archiving and tests with a report are contracted separately, with a monthly fee fixed during the initial review.
A backup only counts once it has been restored
On the Professional and Enterprise plans, once a quarter, we restore the ERP from the backups on a separate server, measure how long it takes and send you the report.
The Sevways cloud runs in data centres of NOS Empresas and Claranet Portugal, part of the NOS group since 2025. The physical infrastructure is certified; the servers, operations, ERP and support are Sevways'.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to restore the ERP?
It depends on the size of the database and the layer contracted. The time of each test is in the report, so you know before you need it.
Do backups protect against ransomware?
They help: they are kept outside the company network, on the Sevways cloud, and can restore the servers to a state before the attack.
Test your recovery
We look at what is protected today and run a test restore.
