One group, two jurisdictions
Working in two countries means two tax regimes, different currencies and teams handling the same port call from opposite sides of the Atlantic. Without a common core, each company ends up keeping its own version of the operation, and the group only sees it together at month-end close.
The same operational core
The four companies record port calls, cargo and port service invoicing on the same Ports & Shipping core, the suite we developed on Sage X3 for maritime and logistics groups with several companies, countries and activities. The suite generates service invoices from movements, with tariffs per customer and per port, and invoices in several currencies.
What the group gains
Ports & Shipping has been in production since 2019 and is also used by Grupo Ibero Linhas and by Sunstone Ships, which runs its shipping agency operation on it.
